# Why guests come back to Connects

The opportunity to network with other learning and development leaders, hearing from expert speakers, direct collaboration with the Acorn team.

Great to see what has been updated, where the company is heading, and what \[they\] are trying to achieve as this flows onto as as an end product user.

All really good and provided excellent context to L&D at the current stage.

![no-swag-sticker-p](https://info.acorn.works/hubfs/no-swag-sticker-p.svg)

Acorn Connects is a swag-free event. For every 1,000 attendees, over 550kg of single-use swag (the same weight as 141,750 acorns, or 284 laptops, or 126 cats) is wasted.

We're committed to reducing environmental waste and, let's be honest, another tote bag or pair of branded socks isn't the kind of event takeaway that makes a real business impact.
